Quay Global Investors appoint Investment Analyst

Quay Global Investors (Quay) has strengthened its research capability with the appointment of Ninus Kanna as a Senior Investment Analyst, commencing with the business in January 2016.


Ninus has 10 years’ experience across investment management and stock broking, an MBA from Macquarie Graduate School of Management and a Bachelor of Economics from Macquarie University. Prior to joining Quay, he was employed by NSW Ministry of Health as a Principal Financial Analyst and previous to that, he was an Investment Analyst at CLSA Asia-Pacific Markets specialising in real estate. Ninus has also worked alongside Quay Principal and Portfolio Manager, Justin Blaess, at ING Investment Management within the real estate securities team.

Justin said he is excited to welcome Ninus into the team. “He has extensive experience in analysing global real estate securities and portfolio management. With the planned expansion of our global real estate fund into the retail space, Ninus will be an important asset for the growth of the Fund as well as the broader business,” said Justin.

Quay was launched in May 2015 as a partnership with principals Justin Blaess and Chris Bedingfield and Bennelong Funds Management. Prior to this, Quay had been successfully operating as Quay Real Estate Advisors since 2013. Quay’s focus is on preserving and creating wealth for investors through investments in real estate securities. The team currently manages the Quay Global Real Estate Fund which since inception (31 July 2014), has delivered an annualised return of 28.8% p.a. (as at 31 December 2015). The Fund will open to retail investors in early 2016.
